Ender:
Silent Hill 2 – BARK! (by Akira Yamaoka)

This podcast is about:

Uno

GIANT ENEMY CRABS

Sexy Gun Valkyrie Bitches

The Crimson King

Gold Stars

  • Erwin Rosales

Ok, I have not listened to the podcast yet but I am gonan give you 2 Gold Stars :D. One for each of you.

  • Dustin

Ah, yes, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. Such a good game. It and Okami are two of the very short list of games that, while playing them, I’ve paused and said to myself, “Right. THIS is why I came to love video games in the first place.”

PoP: Two Thrones is pretty good. I’d probably give it an 8 out of 10. In terms of personality, the Prince is much closer to SoT than Warrior Within; I think Ubisoft even said they brought him closer to his original personality because of the fan outrage over his change in WW. Another smart thing they did with TT is the “speed kill” system. If you sneak up behind an enemy, you can start a short, God-of-War-like button pressing sequence that allows you to kill the enemy without actually fighting them. In fact, the large majority of the enemies can be killed this way, and some of the movement puzzles are laid out to let you kill all the enemies in the room with the speed kill.

And hurray for the Panzer Dragoon Orta love! The moment I saw screenshots of the game I knew I wanted to play it, but I didn’t have the money to buy an Xbox and my friend wasn’t going to buy it. Maybe I’ll just have to buy it for him and borrow his Xbox for a while. It’s not like he plays with it very much anymore…

If I was rich, I’d give you guys a billion dollars each, just because I’m crazy like that.

  • MC Burnett

Dudes, these last two podcasts are sounding HOT. The audio is the best its ever been and the extra production work you’re putting in with the intro sound bites and the music is really adding to the show. I doubt I’m the only one noticing and appreciating it. Keep reaching for the stars!

  • Dave

Thanks for the compliments Burnett. It’s mostly thanks to me figuring out how to use a software compressor (which still sounds like ass, but not AS bad). If I could get the EXACT SAME SETTINGS to work on the hardware compressor (don’t ask me why they don’t) we’d really be in business.

As for the music… yeah, I liked how it sounded last time. Figured I’d give it a shot again. Glad it’s working. :D

  • UNO is stupidly addictive on XBox Live. Especially when the crazies start doing weird things with their cameras, and French people start trying out their english swear words on people. :)

Great show as always. Panzer Dragoon is one of those XBox games I’ve always wanted to play. I really loved the other three on Saturn. Especially Saga which will always remain one of my favorite RPGs. I hope some backwards compatible goodness comes soon for those old Sega XBox games.

  • Steel Batallion aside, pretty much all of the games mentioned in this episode are things in my possession that I intended to play through, but either only played for a very short while or never even started. If I were able to be independently wealthy such that I could quit my job and do nothing but play videogames all day, it would probably still take a few years to get through the “to play” list of Xbox games I’ve got. To say nothing of all games for the PC, PS2, Gamecube, DS, GBA, Dreamcast, N64, PSX…

At this point I’ve basically accepted partially that I’ll never actually play even 5% of these games I get, and yet I continue to get more. Much like how I will never watch all this anime, read all this manga, view all these movies, watch all these TV shows, and so on and so on. But I continue to get more and more and more.

Help me, Fast Karate. I’m sick and there’s no cure.

  • The Knoxinator

Daryl, I know exactly what you mean. I don’t have either Xbox, but I do have the PS2, Gamecube, and PSX games that have been collecting dust for years waiting to be played. Back in high school, I’d buy tons of games and anime and other stuff that I still haven’t gotten around to, some four years later, but I’m getting better about it now that I don’t have any money at all to spend on those pleasures.

But yes, we are both sick and there is no cure. You can only learn to live with it.

  • Daryl and Knox, I do the same damn thing. ::hangs head in shame::

  • RJ Bubel

I must say after hearing Joel scream……..he definitely lost his chance of having a sexy voice…..but that damn hilarious. Also as for Steel Batallion I’ve have several friends who have literally pulled the power from the wall in order to save their save’s (that sounds odd) but yeah I love the recommendations for Xbox. Also recently IGN did an article on all the systems that are now dead and their top 25 games. http://xbox.ign.com/articles/772/772315p1.html

    P.S. The Gamecube article read’s “Was their 25 games?”…..
